Blue moki (te reo Māori: Moki), Latridopsis ciliaris. Fished from the shore, from a boat and spearfishing. In October it is in season in Central, Challenger, South-East, Kaikōura Marine Area and Southland.

August–September between Mahia and East Cape, the only known spawning ground (MPI).
